2015 Elections

I will be running a campaign to retain my office as Constable for Perkasie Borough Ward 2. There will be 2 elections- the Primary on May 19, 2015 and the General Election on November 3, 2015.

I will be canvassing for signatures on my petitions to have my name placed on the Primary Ballot in the coming week. This petition is merely to have my name put upon the ballot, it is not an indication of support or that you will even vote for me.

About Me

I have lived in Perkasie Borough with my wife Dorinda since 2004 and we currently have 2 Labrador retrievers named Maya and Ginger. We enjoy time outdoors, gardening, history, and travel and I am an avid hunter. I am an insurance broker full-time, became active in politics in 2008 and am an advocate for a good and limited government, free markets, and personal responsibility and liberty. I sit on the Zoning Appeals Board, belong to the Sellersville Moose, and am a member of both Great Swamp Fish & Game in Quakertown and Paletown Rod & Gun Club.

Office of the Constable

Constables are the oldest law enforcement position in the world, dating back to 5th century France when they were known as Counts of the King's Stables. The first constables in Penn's Woods began serving in 1664 and when Pennsylvania became a Commonwealth in 1787 they were among the first public officials.

Constables are elected and serve a 6 year term and are Peace Officers by the virtue of the office they hold. The statutory duty of the constable is to uphold peace at the polls on election day, but upon becoming certified under Act 49 they can also serve the Courts as a law enforcement arm with the power to arrest by warrant anywhere in the state or for felony crimes and breaches of the peace committed in their presence.
